After a year-long internship at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, he undertook three years of dermatology training at the University of Missouri. He was also the Chief Resident in his final year. His research has been presented at many national and local conferences. Mohs Surgery for Rare Skin Cancers is one of his published research. He has also written a chapter about dermabrasion. All cancers, however, are unique, and there are three common kinds of skin carcinoma: Basal cell cancer, Squamous-cell carcinoma, and Melanoma.
