About this business

Ask Solar Sandy provides a straightforward, kilowatt-centric worksheet that enables you to compute your system's electricity needs and a bespoke quote. We use Solar Sandy's E-calc Energy Production Calculator and the tax credits or customer incentives available in your location to help you identify the right panel layout. After calculating your system's kilowatt output and suggesting the best configuration, once your system is up and running, we will show you the most effective rate plan. We will also evaluate your energy bills over a year to help in assessing your progress and savings. You may keep records of how much electricity your system generates online.

After lots of research we had solar installed with Solar Sandy last year to mitigate the increasing APS bills. Our system was installed quickly; however, we did have an issue with our demand manager not being installed properly and shutting off the power to our master bedroom instead of the A/C unit during high demand. They came out several times to try and fix the issue, after about a year it was finally fixed. Sandy prides herself on not being like the rest of the Solar companies that take advantage of people. Turns out she is just like them. We signed up with Sandy because she offered to pay two years of our bills. After receiving three months’ worth of reimbursement checks the payments stopped. When I reached out to her about it, she stated that we had to provide her with two referrals and leave a good review on Google and the BBB to continue receiving payments. This is something that was never discussed and we never agreed to. She will lie and try to turn it around on us. I told her that I’m not happy with the service and would not feel comfortable leaving a good review, she in turn said that we will not be getting anymore payments until we gave her what she wanted. Bottom line is Sandy did not live up to her end of the deal. If you do go with this company, make sure you get the promotion in writing so Sandy can’t take advantage of you! Sandy is a fraud and I DO NOT recommend going with Solar Sandy!
I really like Solar Sandy. I like her heart and her story. Having said that I have had big issues with her subcontractors. Inty Power was who Solar Sandy hired to do our install in Dec. 2022-37 panels. June 29th I noticed by chance that nothing was being produced by our solar system. The meter was not showing anything. I tried calling, texting & website submissions to get ahold of someone, anyone. Finally I did. It took Inty until July 12th to come out and do a firmware update (whatever that is). At first they said it was probably an invertor issue. But still 2 solar panels did not work and I was told those would be repaired soon. Fast forward to our SRP bill today it jumped from $140 to $380! Now I am told it wasn't due to the solar panels not working but to a faulty meter from SRP. This wasn't their fault. I was told Inty Power would pay the difference. Now they are deny any fault. The story is much longer and much more involved but I will leave it there. Two panels still don't work. Communication has been horrendous but the bigger issue is that I just want my system to work and I have no idea if all 37 panels are even working. Solar Sandy chose this company and even signs the contract so I do hold her partially responsible.
