About Jeremy Scataglini, M.Ed., LPC, NCC – H.U.G Therapy Center | Couples Counselor in Phoenix I am Jeremy Scataglini, a licensed couple’s counselor in Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, I set up The H.U.G Therapy Center, an abbreviation for Historically Underrepresented Groups. I started this counseling center with the goal of creating a place where all couples and persons would feel welcomed, accepted, and supported. Furthermore, I wanted to create a safe environment where clients would not worry about discrimination. My method of couple’s counseling is based on the concept that everyone needs human connection and attachment. When I began working as a therapist, I tried practical tools, exercises, and other interventions that did not seem to lead to long-term success for the couples I saw. However, over the years and as I continued to advance in my career, I discovered Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), which specifically addresses the attachment needs of adults.
