You have likely encountered the term "mortgage mistake" from relatives, acquaintances, or colleagues. When given a choice, nearly everyone prefers a root canal to be applied for a mortgage. I have been a mortgage broker since 1989, giving me a significant advantage. Getting a loan approved is not about being a borrower. It's about having the right expertise on your side. Processors, underwriters, closers, funders, operations managers, and funding agents for different mortgage firms have all worked with me. Every phase of the loan process is critical to me, and that is why I do what I do. Despite that, I decided many years ago not to work for those firms. I now focus my time on closing loans on schedule as a loan officer. However, after becoming tired of being a loan officer, I realized that I could help my clients better.
