Our Counseling Office - Mark Rohde, Ph.D. Parents or school authorities would have referred most high school students to the High School Substance Usage Recovery Group because of their drug or alcohol use, which has caused concerns. We speak about the causes of use, the physiological and psychological problems caused by use, and ways of dealing with illegal substance use in the group. While most of the participants are in high school, some middle students might be appropriate. Initial regular drug testing is required, and students who fail to overcome their addictions are placed in the Intensive Outpatient Program.
