The company's current owners, Mike and Donna Payne, are renowned gymnastics instructors in the fitness industry. Mike, who was a Mid-West gymnast at the collegiate level, relocated to Arizona in 1981. In 2022, Mike was admitted to the Indiana Gymnastics Hall Of Fame. Currently, Donna serves as a NAWGJ judge in gymnastics. The couple has instructed numerous kids over the years, and their children have achieved titles at the National, Regional, and State Championship levels, as well as athletic grants. Phoenix Gymnastics Academy is still family-run, and the kin has been active in its operation. Phoenix Gymnastics & Dance Academy is also a team of former PGA athletes (Phoenix Gymnastics Academy, n.d.).
