The campus landscape has barely changed during the time between my visit and now, but the number and reckless speeds of bicycles has changed. I was appalled by the thought of a future where bikes are the preferred method of transportation around Berkeley. In the past, students had to dismount and walk their bikes through campus. 2. Way too many homeless people loitering around campus and tweaking. Didn't feel safe. There was also broken glass all over the parking lots from smash and grab thefts10.
