The Dermaplaning procedure is intended to rejuvenate the skin by removing the skin of dead cells, vellus hairs, "peach fuzz" or "dead skin". This is done using a surgical blade to shave the epidermis and reduce fine lines, acne scars and wrinkles. This treatment can also make home-care products work better, as it allows for the product to penetrate and work more effectively preventing the skin at a higher level.
