Dr. Katherine Ferris

Born and raised in Arizona, Dr. Katherine Ferris is from Dallas and earned her BS in Psychology and Spanish at the University of Southern California having been passionate about dance, including ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, as she trained. Before medical school, Katherine spent time as a professional dancer on various performances which include Britney, Will Smith, and other big names as she learned many skills from dance, including discipline, focus, perseverance, and teamwork, all of which she believes are essential for becoming a good doctor. Her love for dermatology developed during medical school when she took a year off to conduct research in dermatology. During her residency at UC Irvine, she led Lestonnac's free medical clinic and coordinated resident cosmetic training as well as quality improvement for two years, making her the best option for all your dermatological needs. She loves running, dancing, practicing yoga, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Ferris is a board-certified dermatologist interested in developing individualized treatments for patients that consider not only the patient's skin type and condition but also their lifestyle and personal preferences. Her expertise includes a variety of dermatology services such as acne, rosacea and pigmentation treatment, eczema and contact dermatitis, and skin cancer surgery, as well as cosmetic treatment such as Botox and fillers. She has also published multiple book chapters and articles on many dermatological topics.
