Ms. Cook graduated from the University of California Hastings College of Law and has been a California State Bar member since 1988. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University, and she has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and the Northern District of California. Furthermore, she is admitted at the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the Executive Office for Immigration Review and all Immigration Courts, as well as the Board of Immigration Appeals.
Having lived in Spain, Colombia, and Honduras for many years, Cook speaks Spanish fluently. Cook has made presentations to the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the Bay Area and the Immigrant Legal Resource Center and the Bar Association of San Francisco. She has also collaborated with numerous nonprofit organizations and the Mexican Consulate of Fresno in the Central Valley to provide community outreach.
