Customer feedback summary: They know nothing about property rental. Don’t waste your time. Unprofessional and relies on outdated AI I do not have words to explain. They don't know anything about renting property. Please do not waste your time. If there were an option to give zero stars, I would. This company is extremely unprofessional. They waste your time with the rental process and rely entirely on an outdated AI system that often provides inaccurate results. My landlord provides a clear rental history later confirmed as accurate by my landlord, but the software they rely on said it was incorrect, so they wanted to manually document it. Very frustrating to work with a service that trusts technology with no real documentation. Don't waste your time with Aapex Management. My wife and I just withdrew our application to rent a property being managed by Aapex Management. They were extremely responsive and quick to review our application and answer our questions. We loved the property, our application was approved, but ultimately it was the leasing agreement (and management resistance to making concessions) that caused us to walk away. The main thing that gave us pause was that, at least for this property, Aapex was exempt from rent increase controls, meaning there is no limit to how much or how frequently they can raise the rent. Additionally, the lease specifies that for the renter to terminate the lease early, the renter will have to pay the equivalent of 4 months rent + $300+ of various fees (re-keying, paperwork processing, etc.). This means that if the landlord decides to raise the rent beyond what the renter feels is reasonable, the only recourse for the renter is to pay 4+ months of rent, or continue renting at the increased rate for the rest of the lease. Applied for a tour of this place via a Zillow advertisement. Stated prior to the tour I would have a cosigner, and they booked me a tour anyway. Cost me a full days travel time to look at the place only for them to reject the application afterwards because they neglected to read the forms I submitted them prior. All interactions with them have been highly unprofessional and would not recommend working with Aapex unless you’re desperate. Edit: Continued to harass me via text when I tried to explain and denied the listing even existed on Zillow. Don't even bother renting here, they will steal your money. Don't rent with this company.
