When I speak to those who have been in trouble, or to their loved ones in prison, I am re-energized and motivated to protect and help them. The law firm that I created has achieved many things. I'm proud. Our success is due to our hard work, intellect, successful tactics, and knowledge of law and the legal profession. Milwaukee is where I was raised. In San Mateo in California, I attended high school and grew up. My family moved from California to Ohio. My family moved to Ohio. After moving to San Francisco, I studied law at the University of California Hastings College of Law. In 1968, I began to practice law after graduating in 1967. Between 1968 and 1979 I worked as an assistant Alameda county public defender. In 1979, I founded my own firm. Over the years, I've tried more than 100 jury trials in both state and federal courts. Twenty of those cases were acquitted. I have also won a lot of cases involving sexual assault and other serious crimes. Recently, I have won many motions for dismissal, suppression of evidence, murder appels and successfully terminated sex registry. Since 1975, I have been a State Bar Certified Criminal Law Specialist. The recertification of this specialization is required every five years, based on the reviews and opinions of judges and attorneys in your area. You must also participate actively in court cases and trials. Sally and I were married for 54 years. Three daughters, three sons in law, three grandchildren, and one grandchild are ours. The oldest daughter, who is also a lawyer, is in Bozeman. Annie is the middle daughter and has been my partner in law for twenty years. She's also a State Bar Certified Criminal Law Specialist.
