LACM was founded in 2005 by two principals who launched the company to be an independent and client-centric investment management firm dedicated to Dynamic Alpha Stock Selection Model (r), the Firm's proprietary quantitative equity portfolio management technology. Since its inception, LACM has improved its model, portfolio construction, and risk management processes. LACM applies its method to over 20 equity strategies and produces equity forecasts for emerging and developed markets. As of the latest quarter-end report, the Firm managed $15.6 billion in assets for institutional clients based in the US, Canada, and the UK. Los Angeles Capital, LACM is entirely owned by its parents. The Firm promotes close collaboration with clients and employees.
