Their negligence hurt my dog! I was traveling overseas and boarded Daisy, our 55 pound English Sheepdog, with them. About a week later, I was texted by an employee saying that Daisy was hurt playing with another dog and needed to go to the vet. Their explanation didn't sit right with me bc I've seen her roughhouse with a LOT of dogs at the off leash park and never get hurt. As such, I asked for the video from their facility of when she got hurt. It was sent to me and just as I suspected, she was NOT hurt playing with another dog, but rather, WEST LA DOGS placed a large industrial hose IN the dog play area. Daisy was playing with another dog when her right paw came down on the hose. She broke her nail on the hose, was bleeding profusely, and limping around. The vet wanted $2K for xrays because the knuckle may have been broken. Instead, we asked him to bandage her up (we were still overseas but scheduled to come back in two days) so we can handle it upon our return. The vet bill was $500 (pain meds, antibiotics, nail removal, casting, etc.) I asked Adam, the general manager of WEST LA DOGS, for reimbursement because the video was clear that an obstruction of any kind (including a hose) shouldn't have been placed in the play area. Adam in true bureaucratic form, denied responsibility and blamed it on Daisy! Unbelievable. I will never go back there!!!!
