Feedback from our customers: A tenant informed me of a wire fire at my residence on Sunday evening, August 24th, 2026. I recalled contacting Anchor Electric's Gus Kanakis 15 years ago to upgrade the panel for my rental property. I phoned Gus at Anchor and briefed him on the matter. He suggested turning off the circuit immediately. He arrived at the residence on time and notified me via a text message. He repaired the arced conductor and relanded it to a new receptacle. After carrying out a further inspection, he found the loads exceeding the circuit's capacity. The tenant has portable air conditioning, water dispenser, three fans in the bedrooms, lighting, a television, and a space heater. He averted the issue by advising me against using the air conditioner and space heater on this circuit. He replaced the standard breakers with AFCI circuit breakers. Gus also consulted with the tenant on the acceptable loads and took current readings with the proposed load. He also conducted an electricity class for us all; I learn about electricity from it. He is a kind and knowledgeable electrician. Anchor Electric just amazing! We will definitely use them again. Anchor Electric was able to schedule an appointment within the day.
