Customer feedback summary: 1. There is a lot one can infer from the 3 stars on this attorneys wall. No secretary, no paper pusher. Just this guy going about doing everything all alone.2. As a military family, professionalism and respect are paramount, and we did not receive this from Jerry Steering or his office. The manner came off as dismissive and rude and the advice given did not match the expected professionalism from an attorney.  In spite of being discouraged with the news of the case,  THE FIGHT WAS eventually WON. On the basis of experience his services would NOT be recommended. Maybe a re-education on some case laws is needed. Onward...3. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with the Law Office of Jerry Stirring. I contacted the office for help with a very serious issue concerning my son, and a loved one of ours was not addressed with the professionalism, empathy, or even courtesy that I expect when contacting a lawyer. Jerry Steering’s attitude during this conversation felt condescending and dismissive. I didn’t feel like he wanted to hear me out regarding the matter I was calling for help about, and he didn’t give me the opportunity to explain the events as they had occurred. What really worried me was how I felt during the conversation. I felt like the speed at which my issue was dismissed was informed by some level of prejudice. I cannot know what was in other people’s minds but this impression hit me so bad. An attorney has every right to turn down a case, but my complaint isn’t that he rejected my son’s case. It’s about how I felt when looking for help during a very challenging moment. I would not recommend this office because of what I went through, and I know others contacting attorneys would deserve to be treated with dignity and respect whether they are taken on or not.4. No one is perfect but I am shocked by some negative reviews here. It would seem that some people do not get attorney Jerry Steering, or they just need to come down a bit. That said, I got to know Mr. Steering over several consultations during the course of my case. Jerry Steering is blunt and straightforward. He will say what is in his mind. He is an experienced attorney and a lawyer we can learn from, and I never saw anything negative about his character. The matter of me suing the corrupt city of Los Angeles for an unconstitutional arrest was declined by many lawyers just because they didn’t see much money in damages. Besides, there are very few lawyers specializing in police misconduct. The few who refused my case gave me the same bs responses. Jerry Steering did not take on my case due to his busy schedule but he didn’t want to leave me hanging by giving me hints on how I could file a case pro se. He even gave me his word template and a lot of information for free. This was a real blessing, thank you. Mr. Steering also guided me regarding the tough legal concepts via phone and email. This was helpful more than a hundred lawyers I had called who never returned my calls. Jerry Steering, you are a unique individual, sincere, and a truly rare attorney, and my family and I wish there were more of you. 6 Stars from me.5. Was asked to give an explanation of my case. had no idea who I spoke with over the phone, but they said that because I was not handcuffed, because I was not beaten, because I was not taken to jail I don’t have a case, and I should just let it go because I “probably have more productive things to worry about in my life”. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood each step. He was patient, knowledgeable, and provided excellent customer service. Told me I had no case. Luckily for me, I don't discourage so easily. I am able to get my case represented elsewhere. Do not waste your time. They have 2.5 stars (at the time of this review) for a reason.15. I filled out his website's case assessment form. My case is uniquely horrible, involving an ex who stole my lifelong custody of my children illegally. Here's a snapshot of Jerry's email response I received today. 11am on a Saturday? I guess those funds won from contingency in the few wins he has, have been depleted.
