Courtney Miller enjoined more than 30 years' experience as an architect, working across Dallas, Boston, and the Bay Area. His architectural degree at UCLA in 1981 marked the beginning of his career. In Dallas, he completed massive commercial and retail highlands for five years. In 1986, he moved to Boston, where he worked as a project manager on transportation projects, residential, and institution design. Courtney founded his private practice, House on Forte Pond, in 1992. Three years later, New England Solar Homes was established. This was the same year that the house received an award for Solar Farmhouse from Northeast Sustainable Energy Association. Courtney's roots led him back to California in 2006. He worked for several companies before starting his private practice again. Courtney teaches architecture at Laney College's Architecture Department as an adjunct professor. His two courses are Introduction to Architecture and Sustainable Design.
