SAIA destroyed a machine shipment to our customer in late 02/2025. The damages were done in their shipping hub in CT. The carrier never took responsibility of the damages. Their customer service confirmed that. But only paid claim for $20 on shipment value of $2000 that took over 120 days to settle. Never use this carrier. Worst company to deal with

3. Lack of empathy and customer service
My shipment arrived damaged, which may not have been the freight company's responsibility. However, their handling of the situation was extremely poor. I was working with the seller and tech support to determine the best course of action (repair or return) for the $16k machine. During this process, the freight company representative I spoke with was incredibly rude and pressured me to make a hasty decision. This lack of empathy and customer service was unacceptable, and I won't be using this company in the future.

7. Inadequate Delivery Communication
Scheduled a deliver on a friday 12-6. Never showed up, no calls on what the next step is I had to change my plans to meet delivery and yet no show. Unfortunately I have no control on who delivers the products I purchase

10. Carrier Blocking Access and Being Disrespectful
One of their trucks stopped just in front of my rolling door blocking the access to my working place, with cars waiting to drive in and out. Told the driver to move his track (At least 100m of straight free space behind him) His only answer: No I have to go and bring a palette!!! This gives an idea on how disrespectful and non professional this company is. It has been 15 minutes now and still waiting and my customers getting angry.

13. Hidden Fees
Shipped a load to Las Vegas from San Diego. Charged reasonable rates. Then I get hit with a redelivery fee of $151! Redelivery fee may have been warranted but that's more than I paid to ship it Las Vegas! This is the fourth time recently that I've been hit by what I consider Mickey Mouse fees with this company. Their fast moving from a go to carrier to an avoid if at all possible carrier.
14. Example of Worst Client Service
Terrible customer service! Waited all day for freight truck, called at 4pm, they said will be tomorrow. Next day, waited all day again. Called at 4pm, they said no truck available, no communication, absolutely the worst! Please do not use this company.
15. Delivery Miscommunication
My order was supposed to arrive on No day 03/12/18, I was told between 12-6pm, I requested to do it at the end of their route so I had time to be back from from work. Was assured they would give me a 1/2 hr courtesy call. I arrived at 1:30pm, never got the call, no voicemail, text, nothing. Today Wednesdays 03/14 & no way to get a hold of this people or how to track my 227 lbs generator.
