Don't get the lawyer name buyon erol or something like that, he makes fun of you, super disrespectful, and unprofessional, if you are a lawyer at least be professional you are not supposed to be laughing about the postpartum depression on a women who just recently had a baby and his partner is dealing with a ticket what kind of person are you? 2. Apparently, I was never told that I got a new public defender and missed the last court date That she said she rescheduled. I’ve been sending her everything she needs for this upcoming case but I get no responses or phone calls back very unprofessional. 4. I have had the worst time trying to get in touch with anyone in the office. There isn't even an email or way to chat with an actual person. I needed to speak to my attorney but it is impossible to get ahold of him. This is my life and freedom we are talking about. 6. They will not file motions and your behalf. False arrest, Miranda violations, Terry searches, ... The men in blue in placer county do what they want, and go unchallenged. They overcharge to maximize the penalty. True criminals It doesn't matter what is wrong in your case they won't fight for your benefit. And the biggest problem is if you have no idea what the law is you're not going to get any justice. 8. Heidi pope was/is my minor son’s court appointed attorney. I understand that this is voluntary and free, however, when representing a minor an attorney should keep in contact with the parents. I have tried texting, calling and leaving voicemails numerous times and I haven’t received a single reply! At the last hearing she told me they couldn’t charge him that he was going to plead not guilty but at today’s hearing he plead guilty to everything . Absolutely NO COMMUNICATION!!! After the hearing I text her and this was her reply: I am (your son’s) attorney NOT yours. You are entitled to hire an attorney to represent YOU if that is your desire.” Unbelievable and so rude!! All I ever asked for was communication!!! If you are my minor son’s attorney then you are my attorney!! You straight lied to my face then avoided me, period! I would never recommend hiring her! 9. They were absolutely fantastic to work with and made time to understand my issue even with how much they got backed up with Covid. 10. Well, what can I say??? It's the public pretenders office, 11. What is systemically broken system and society of rich and elite making their own rules as they go placer county needs serious reform. 12. He'll no, won't ever visit here again.... 13. After two public defenders who didn't care about me I finally got a fantastic one named Claire thank God for her I feel she's on my side and I'll have a fair chance in court now thank you. 14. *Update* my public defender was awesome! She not only listened to what I had to say about the case she actually got my charges dropped!! My advice is to do your own investigating on your case. Google the laws and defenses. Make sure it's California laws your looking up. Find out ALL you can by yourself. Do not expect your public defender to do any "real " work for your case. They are really there to guide you not defend you. And if you have any mental health issues make sure you ask them to put you in mental health court! Not a lot of people are aware of this. 15. Very nice and helpful people.
