Dr. Gant, MD FAAD, first completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Dartmouth College, and then went on to pursue a M.Sc degree in Physiology at Georgetown University before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. He completed a graduate degree in Medical Physiology at Boston University and finally earned his Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He did his medicine internship and Dermatology Residency at New York University School of Medicine. After working there for a year, he stayed on and did a Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Dermatologic Oncology and Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at NYU. He then joined the faculty at NYU School of Medicine in 2005. Once settled in New York, he also joined the faculty at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He continued to practice this eclectic combination of private and academic dermatology in Manhattan and Scarsdale, NY until 2015. He then moved West to join his wife in California. He has also been a med-podcaster for the website CoreEM.net and is proud to have been a recurring guest on the Core EM podcast.
