Born and raised in Canada, Mr. Steinberg graduated from Sacramento's Hiram Johnson high school in 1973. In 1977, he was awarded a B.S. from California State University in Sacramento with distinction. Mr. Steinberg achieved a B.S. at the University of California, Davis in 1988 and was also earned his law degree from King Hall Law School, University of California Davis, in the same year. He is licensed to practice law in California and Washington. Mr. Steinberg has previously represented Correctional Officers as staff counsel with the California Correctional Peace Officers Association. His practice exclusively focuses on law enforcement injured workers in front of the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board. He enjoys reading military history, target shooting, and historical miniature war games. Florida State University awarded him a bachelor's degree in education in 1973, and he graduated from McGeorge School of Law with a law doctorate in 1978. Mr. Steinberg has practiced exclusively helping injured workers and disabled individuals since 1979. He has handled more than 1,000 Workers' Compensation cases and hundreds of Social Security hearings. A California Applicants' Attorneys Association member for three decades, he is also certified as a specialist in Workers' Compensation law. He worked at Farrell, Fraulob, Brown, a sole-practice private firm in Sacramento from 1996 to 2010, and McMonagle, Steinberg, and Hester, a law firm in Sacramento from 2010. A Sacramentan from 1975, he has seen Led Zeppelin perform live, surfed through a hurricane, and climbed El Capitan.
