Samir Benouar, who runs our flagship Coffee Shop and Roaster, is the founder of the start-up. He was inspired by his experience in New York, where he read, wrote, and spent time behind the espresso machine. Samir spent years in San Francisco and Sacramento. Our sorting, roasting, and brewing practices are informed by his tastes. Our approach to sourcing coffee is based on who we are, what we enjoy, and how we prefer to live.
