He loved automobiles and everything about them. He raced motorcycles, drove and apprenticed as a mechanic in a San Francisco Packard dealer and his efforts allowed him to purchase the dealership with his partner. By 1921, America's love affair with cars had reached a crescendo. It was no longer about going from point A to point B but experiencing the car. The young Packard dealer on Ellis Avenue added Pierce-Arrow's line quickly. The luxury brand was also an indicator of what would become a Niello hallmark: not just the road but what the future held.
