Gisela M. Acevedo, a Board Certified Family Law Specialist in San Diego, has over a decade of experience in the courtroom. She formerly represented clients in divorce and child custody at one of the state's largest law firms before establishing Acevedo Family Law. I have practiced family law for over ten years and I am also a Board Certified Family Law Specialist in family law, with ample experience litigating divorce cases. I accepted substantial responsibility as a law associate at one of California's most successful family law firms. I have previously represented clients in divorce, child custody, and restraining order cases. In a high-net-worth divorce case where the husband sought majority custody of the couple's shared children, I successfully cross-examined the wife following two days of trial. I have litigated numerous restraining order cases, including the cross-examination of victims, defendants, and witnesses. I have interacted with law enforcement personnel in these situations. My peers and clients have recognized my ability to effectively litigate cases on behalf of my clients. I limit the clients I keep to ensure each person receives the attention their case requires, in addition to taking on only a few cases at a time. I founded the Acevedo Family Law firm in San Diego, which is dedicated to giving family law clients the legal support they deserve during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
