About this business

Float Spa San Diego was founded by Mark Lesicka after suffering from the pain due to a motorcycle crash and other injuries. In 2007, Mark and his wife Malou Lesicka went to Floatworks with Tim Strudwick in London to learn more about floating. In the United States, few float centers existed, so it was a challenge to start a float business. In 2008, Float Spa San Diego was launched as the first commercial float centre in San Diego, and they strove to provide pain and stress relief through natural methods from the start. The first Float Spa was located inside "Alternative Health Care of San Diego". The first site contained two tanks. They quickly expanded to three tanks. Then, the company moved to a different site. The current facility was chosen for its peaceful and tranquil location. The location is five feet from the road, almost eliminating the road noise vibrations that can be heard in other sites. Clients frequently reported the sensation of an earthquake at the previous place. Road noise is to blame, we discovered. This location offers an additional benefit: there are no sirens or loud penetrating noises to ruin the great experience of a float session.

Reviews Summary

The majority of the reviews of this spa are positive and confirm it has a peaceful and sanitized atmosphere. The spa services, particularly the float therapy, are beneficial for a person who is stressed or in pain. Numerous clients have reported that float therapy is useful and less expensive than traditional massage therapy. Moreover, the spa staff is excellent and professional. Reviewers say that Olivia is amazing and that she conducted them well during their first visits, which left them feeling comfortable. Consequently, the management also is excellent; in particular, the manager of the location is praised. Several consumers have felt more relaxed, and some assert that the flotation therapy and sauna sessions helped alleviate their pain. A few of them say that floating is therapy and improves their health. However, there are a few reviews noting a massage. It is a pleasant experience but quite underwhelming. In summary, clients believe it is a game-changer and are highly recommending the spa.
