Training Resources Limited was established by Capt. Ray Addicott, USN Ret), and LCDR Ray Gillis, USN Ret in 1998 to provide exceptional maritime training to naval and civilian sailors. In 2001, the Nevada-registered company was formally incorporated and formally adopted the name Training Resources Maritime Institute (“TRMI”). It has significantly grown to become one of the most prestigious maritime training facilities on the West Coast. TRMI invested in both equipment and instructors to provide practical and top-notch maritime training. A substantial funding has been made in simulation equipment. This includes Full Bridge and Engine Room simulators, High Voltage simulator, fire fighting simulators, ARPA/ECDIS simulations, small weapon simulations, and lifeboat demonstrations. Additionally, the company has built an 18,000-square-foot training center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. This includes 15 classrooms to accommodate subjects such as engineering, deck, small arms, life/safety, and other relevant topics.
