The law firm of Bley and Bley was established in 1890 by Joseph Bien. In 1925, Bertrand Adolfo Bley, Joseph’s nephew, began to include a wide variety of legal services (including litigation) into the firm’s practice. Stephen Bruce Bley joined his father in practice in 1969 and then began specializing in high-asset, high-conflict divorce matters. Like her father before her, Samantha Bley DeJean joined her father in practice in late 1996. Sam had an excellent foundation of legal training, courtroom experience, and high-esteem in the Bay Area legal and business community, and our team has over 100 years of combined experience. Ms. Bley DeJean, Ms. Henderson, and Ms. Leung are certified family law specialists in California, a distinction that sets them apart and recognizes their excellence. In addition, Ms. Bley DeJean is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys. We operate with a team approach, which means that most of our clients are paired with two or more attorneys. This method appears to work well for most cases. We find that it allows us to allocate work effectively based on the client’s specific needs and also ensures that our clients have an attorney familiar with their case available to them at all times.
