About Costa Brown Architecture Costa Brown Architecture leverages two decades of experience to transform structures from San Francisco's historic sites. Our goal is to see the beauty in a building that isn't always apparent. When we work on industrial relics from South of Market or a pre-1906 Victorian, we embrace the building and craft a narrative acknowledging its layered existence. As we create, we always keep our design principles in mind. We believe in truth in materials and exquisite design detail. We let every decision be guided by what's sustainable and beautiful. We strive to complement what's existing and in harmony with context rather than separate. To realize our custom details, we work with contractors and fabricators with the same goals. Permitting and Planning We've been rooted in San Francisco since our founding, which has taught us much about local permitting and planning. We have a track record of delivering projects that get permitted quickly. This experience can save clients time and money too.
