Daniel J. Edelman founded a small Chicago public relations company in 1952. He was motivated by the fact that he believed he was better than his competitors and that public relations at the time was a very inefficient manner in which the few firms existed primarily as publicists and press agents. Dan was a journalist who was previously a World War II Public Information Officer, but he saw a bigger vision. He envisioned offering clients superior PR services like nowhere before. Our communications strategy enables our clients to be agile as they expand and adapt to digital media and changes in marketing and public relations. Our ability to predict change is a key factor in our firm's success. More than 80 percent of our clients are the longest-standing. Heinz has led its category for 31 years. Butterball was 30 years ago. Starbucks, Microsoft, and Microsoft have held their market for nearly two decades.
