Jill’s mission is to safeguard children and the parent-child bond by protecting parental rights. She wants to keep children safe and parents in the lives of their kids unless they are proven unfit. Jill tries to resolve her clients' cases without the court system, stressing mediation, negotiation, parenting plans, education, and prevention through consultation. Jill has practiced family law since she graduated in 1999, specializing in custody, visitation, support, paternity, and domestic abuse. Jill's focus is on helping families without hurting the children, parents, or other family members. Jill’s trial successes for over a decade include many custody, child support, and parentage trials. Jill has handled divorces with custody and abuse allegations and has wrestled with the chaos of hundreds of custody and visitation jurisdictional disputes. Jill is especially expert at helping parents and children with substance abuse, mental health challenges, family violence, sexual abuse, developmental and physical disabilities, and other medical conditions that impact parenting. Jill also has experience with child abductions and other emergency custody relief. Jill’s commitment to protecting children led her to study Child Protection Services (CPS) investigations and how they affect custody, family law, probate guardianship, and juvenile dependency. Jill learned she needed more training to understand, interpret, and evaluate CPS investigations. She now provides consultation services for other attorneys with Child Protection Services investigations, including interpreting CPS reports and evaluations for CPS, and assessing the quality of investigations and their impact on family law, probate guardianship, and juvenile dependency.
