Avoid working with Prosper at all costs. We hired Prosper in July, 2020 to take on a major home remodeling project: full remodel of our kitchen, dining room, and 2 full bathrooms - all down to the studs - including electrical panel upgrades. The project cost was more than most homes. From the outset, the entire project was plagued with delays. It was impossible to get in touch with him sometimes for days/weeks at a time. Promises were constantly being made and broken. Costs were much higher than quoted. The work was completed months later than promised. Sure, delays are common with contractors. But the real issues is the work was poorly completed. Less than 6 months later we began having major electrical problems and parts of the project are now literally falling apart. Plumbing fixtures are not working properly. We are now remodeling another bathroom and are using a different, more reputable, contractor. When he went to pull permits he learned that Prosper never had the final inspections done on our 2020 project! The city inspectors have now been to our home twice to try to make sense of what happened and both times Prosper failed to appear or send someone from his office. We learned Prosper has an awful reputation with the city. We are learning that he also committed major code violations. He won't respond and we are not sure what it will cost us to fix his mistake. If you are even considering using Prosper, please contact me first. I can show you documentation for everything. Save yourself the trouble and use another contractor. We wish someone would have warned us about him first.
