San Francisco State University’s College of Liberal & Creative Arts

San Francisco State University’s College of Liberal & Creative Arts (LCA) features 21 departments, schools, research centers, institutes, and schools. These entities are concerned with the humanities, arts, and social sciences (San Francisco State University, 2023). The College offers a total of 33 B.A.s in various fields, as well as 27 M.A. degrees. The College and its students benefit from the expert knowledge of over 250 tenured or tenure-track faculty, including over 300 lecturers and full-time faculty. Furthermore, the College employs more than 90 staff, who perform critical administrative and operational roles. Most of the College’s staff and faculty work in four buildings, one of which is George and Judy Marcus Hall, the university’s newest academic facility (San Francisco State University, 2023). The Office of the Dean of the College organizes activities and events to foster multicultural exchanges among students and faculty members. Parades, exhibitions, plays, concerts, and other cultural events are organized by the College. The College’s commitment to encouraging cultural activities is symbolized by this vibrant campus culture. This commitment is reflected in the College’s academic and arts festivals and international programs. The College also sponsors a generously-funded undergraduate research program and a faculty research program.
