Upon opening BellaJames, Malvini and Morris recognized a dream. Vicky was a first-generation Greek-American who grew up in Willow Glen (Warning: Ch. 36). Her father, James Morris, had three Santa Cruz County retail shops. Vicky started working at the age of 14, following in his dad's footsteps. Lisa worked in retail when she was 15 and earned a certificate in Fashion Merchandising from FIDM. She relocated to the Bay Area from Southern California. Both started working at Nordstrom as buyers in the 1980s. Vicky and Lisa met in Nordstrom and Vicky introduced Ted to Lisa, and the two of them fell in love and got married. Vicky quit after having her first child to focus on her family. Lisa transitioned to recruitment to achieve more stability after having her first child. Both never lost their passion for fashion. Thus, BellaJames blossomed to reflect their combined creativity and fashion expertise. Lisa and Vicky named BellaJames in honour of their families: Bella, Isabella Malvini's child; and James, a Greek name that honoured Morris (Warning: Ch. 36). Vicky cherishes it as her labor of love; Lisa says, "We are so blessed to have created a community where our customers appreciate and enjoy. We look forward to many years in Willow Glen!"

So far, I've worked with three of the staff members—Jean, Adriana, and the entire staff—and I adore them all since they're so devoted and knowledgeable. I went in knowing what I wanted but came out with a totally different idea that sent me rocking with confidence. Bella James carries a wide range of women's ensembles and accessories for any occasion. During my last visit to the shop, I was able to do a quick shop and locate everything I needed. Since the shop often restocks, there are always new collections to choose from if you don't find what you're seeking in the current selection. I admire the shop's sales ethos because I feel inspired and energised to dress up again. Bella James, I adore your shop.
