Cevan was inspired by his broad experience in Asia and his staging design background when conceptualizing his garden design ideas. To him, garden design is about creating a "private country" where clients can express their dreams or echo their everyday rhythm. He aims to improve their lifestyles by providing a well-organized garden space where they can rest, socialize, and play. While some need peace and privacy, others want their life to be a performance. Cevan listens to his clients and delivers a joyful and intriguing exploration. In 2006, Garden Design magazine presented Cevan the esteemed Golden Trowel Award. Zahid Sardar included his landscaping design in the book "New Garden Design: Inspirational Private Paradises," and The New York Times Magazine and National Geographic have featured them.
