I don't know if it was racially aimed at us or just by doing business, we were new to a trademark, so unknowingly, we gave our address, knowing it would be publicly posted without them explaining how the system works. They did not explain that so we had to pay more of the $150 to have that corrected on top of the $1086 we paid for the first filling, and the address registered in the system cannot be changed to make it private, so now my address is public forever. Then once an examiner reviewed our case, it was rejected, knowing very well the marks were too close to the marks that existed, so they should have given us a warning before applying. And after they saw it was rejected, they sent us another bill asking for another $1224 to have our name in use to be used for evidence when we had a contract showing that we were already in business for 14 months before applying for the filing, which was a lie. Then after 4 months, I get an email from Jennifer, a supposed lawyer with Nexus IP Firm, demanding examination and processing fees amounting to $1750, and $500 for an attorney to follow up for six months for a case that had already been rejected indefinitely.
