Road to Languages

Lead me on the road to languages! I am an expert in second language education, specializing in Spanish and English. I offer instruction in these languages, which I have taught for more than 20 years. I am a native English speaker. I took my first Spanish class in high school and was enchanted by the lovely language and vibrant culture, igniting a lifelong passion for language learning. I earned a B.A. in Spanish from the University of California (UC) at Santa Cruz and a one-time California Spanish teaching certificate. I also have a CLAD (Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development) certificate. I have also trained in Kagan Cooperative Learning techniques, which guide my student engagement and linguistic learning strategy. I spent two years in Mexico to study Spanish and continue to use the language daily with extended family, friends, and students. My husband and I raised two bilingual children. I have presented professional development seminars on the subject of second language acquisition and collaborate with colleagues in Mexico to innovate language learning. I can provide personalized language classes to meet your needs, whether you want to learn Spanish or English. I have taught Spanish and English to adults, secondary, and primary students.
