Company Name: Senior Adults Legal Assistance (SALA) SALA is an elder law office that operates as a non-profit company. Its purpose is to help older people live safely, independently, non-institutionalized, and with honor. SALA was founded in 1973 and provides free legal help and community education to men and women aged 60 and above in Santa Clara County. To use our services, there is no qualification for income. SALA’s attorney staff undertake a variety of services from simple advice and references to complex legal representation. SALA’s caseload consists of legal issues that private lawyers would typically avoid, which are also the most pressing for our most vulnerable seniors in the community. SALA’s interest is to give its clients high-quality legal services. SALA prefers to meet with clients in person whenever possible so that our staff can fully review their legal matters, interview clients, and examine related documents. Except for certain kinds of urgent work that the HOTLINE handles, SALA does not do general legal advice by phone.
