Dr. Jeffrey Sugarman founded this solo practice in 2002. It was initially dedicated to pediatric dermatology. Over the years, the practice grew naturally through normal business growth. The firm has added adult medical dermatology services, including Mohs Surgery, Phototherapy, Histopathology Services, and Cosmetics like the latest injections, Lasers and Rejuvenation. In 2006, a Ukiah satellite office was opened to help us reach patients living along the coast and in northern California. Ukiah satellites was established by Redwood Family Dermatology to support the ongoing case of patients who have been coming from a limited distance for their appointments. Our mission is to collectively achieve the data and care that excels in the management of skin health and skin diseases. We are committed to clinical excellence, professionalism, ethics, and academics. This is accomplished through ongoing participation in continuing medical education by our providers and their responsiveness to the needs of our patients. Dr. Austin joined Redwood Family Dermatology on October 14, 2014, becoming their dermatologist board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). She graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine's top 10%, and her dermatology training includes a one-year ACGME fellowship. Austin, as a dermatologist, emphasizes the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers using Mohs surgery, reconstructive surgery, and other techniques.

The reviews offer a general evaluation of positive service at Redwood Family Dermatology and its staff and dermatologists, recommended for offering competent and compassionate services, and particularly Dr. Hong, Dr. Park, Dr. Peng, and Dr. Hays, which very few mention. Redwood Family Dermatology have a few negative Service and the most common is the way some front desk staff and all other staff provide their services. Dr. Hong was reviewed in detail and how she is compassionate and makes patients feel heard and validated. She did excellent work but others had a more qualitative side that showed they had taken some time to think about them.
