When I was five years old, my dad injured his neck and shoulders while on a camping trip. Despite this, he underwent physical therapy, chiropractics, and acupuncture to relieve the pain. He once told me my fingers were powerful and requested that I touch his sore muscles. So, I became his "personal therapist". Aunts, uncles, and cousins got relief from shoulder stiffness (katakori) at family parties. I became fascinated by body manipulation until it became an art form. At the beginning of my college, I worked as a physical therapy aide at hospitals and a private practice. I progressed to my current life's work through my professional experience. My Shiatsu Massage School in California is where I took my next step after graduating CSULB. Every week, I attended Dr. DoAnn Kaneko's class. She is more than a sensei; she is the ultimate teacher. She not only demonstrated the art of Shiatsu Anma Therapy but also encouraged me to be an excellent therapist. I was awarded the Kaneko Award when I completed my course.
