Reggie's sales pitch was both professional and impressive during the initial calls and face-to-face meetings. We were pleased with his communication skills, and he assured us on meeting our substantial expectations within our 6-figure budget. We also agreed on mid-range fixtures and finishes. A schematic design contract was signed, and a 5-figure check was given out, hoping that they would satisfy our expectations. Bye New Key However, our expectations were not met, and we are extremely disappointed to the extent of losing faith in the whole New Key team. This was clear after the formal design meeting where we got to see the "good, better, best" design options. These designs did not consider most of our priorities. The best design did not include a vaulted ceiling in the main living room, a feature we had indicated to be mandatory. Furthermore, a majority of the proposals suggested a small window in the kitchen. We were also informed that a load-bearing wall should be removed, an option that would cost a lot despite the availability of other alternatives. We found out that these designs would cost over $1.2M to construct. This was a shock since it was twice our budget. We lost hope and decided to terminate the contract after the preliminary stages.__(' It has been a year since we revamped our home. The process was restarted from scratch, and our new architectural and construction team restored our newly remodeled home. Although the operation cost us some lost investment and time, it turns out that it was a better choice than proceeding down the wrong path. My opinion is that before a job is started with New Key, the customer needs to clearly define their expectations, including the costs. The company should also devise a clear roadmap to follow since I felt like a betrayal. New Key Construction: A Positive Experience. A Guarantee for Quality Over Cost 2025 Location Summary At 2024 we were left living in a house we had barely started transforming. That exact predicament is what led to our discovery of New Key. The team's professionalism and vision struck me right from the beginning. They took time to understand our big-picture goal. They also suggested design improvements that we hadn't considered, with a lot of attention to detail and input at Ace. By the end, we didn't have a project instead, we had a living space that radiated quality, style, and timeless value. I am quite content with my decision to pursue their services and this is the only firm I would call if I needed to transform another space. New Key Construction: Pre-Project Consultation 2025 Location I visited New Key Construction's new office, which is one minute from the freeway. I was received with a warm welcome. I have been looking for an architect to undertake a major house renovation. After speaking with Reggie, the CEO, his enthusiasm and passion for quality impressed me. I could tell that his systematic step-by-step approach was from experience. He explained the detailed project budget with each phase outlined. This made the budgeting process easy. But what amazed me is how they exceeded the budget and still made a "wow" for their customers. For anyone looking for something special in construction, this is the company to work with. This far before starting my project, I believe that Reggie and his team are the leaders. I recommend them highly. Comment 4
