While I have been satisfied with my solar panels and service from Klick Solar there is a serious drawback in doing business with the company.
Klick Solar uses Sunlight Financial to finance their customer's solar panels. What no one tells you is that as soon as your loan balance drops below $15,000 the loan is no longer assumable. This fact alone will cause you serious problems that last for years when selling sell your home.
I had a sales contract for list price on my home and the buyers agreed to assume the $14,000 loan for the solar panels. It was not until the finance company (Sunlight Financial) was contacted to arrange for the buyers to assume the loan that I was told that a loan balance below $15,000 could not be assumed. Since I wasn't willing to simply give away $14,000 on the sale of my home, the sale fell through.
This is a serious problem because if the buyer can't assume my solar loan, I have to pay it off at closing and lose $14,000 dollars on the sale of my home because I have the misfortune of Klick Solar using Sunlight Financial.
Until my situation, my realtor had never heard of a solar loan not being assumable.
If you can't pay cash for your solar panels, shop elsewhere and save yourself some serious problems and or money down the road.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Klick Solar. I saw that they had some bad reviews and asked about it. They had trouble with their out of town installers and decided to hire a local firm to do all of the installations. That was a good decision, it seems to me.
From Elizabeth, the first person who knocked on my door and was clear, friendly and knowledgeable, to Ryan, who walked me through the process and was ALWAYS available to answer my questions about the system and the finances, and to explain any things I didn't understand, and to liaise with the local installers...well, it's been very good. The system is up and running, the installation was smooth and the people courteous, and I'm waiting to celebrate my next electric bill! But the "star performer" has been my phone and email consultant, Ashley W. She's been so caring, prompt at answering all of my inquiries, pleasant on the phone, an excellent communicator. If she didn't have an answer, she ran it down in short order and got back to me in a timely fashion. I can't say enough good things about her!
All in all, I'm happy!
Don’t use this company they tell you one thing and do the opposite. They take a long time to finish your project and change project managers 3 time on us. I had my roof replaced and there telling me it’s 3 weeks before they will put my solar back on. I will never use this company agian!
Horrible communication!!! We have had to call multiple times to get information. No call backs or follow through as promised. We called at 4:30 on Thursday and was told electrician would be here the next day at 7:30am. If I had not called I would not have been notified. I have called and spoken to several representatives and told I would be called back with no call back. This has been a frustrating experience, I would not recommend.
