Learning to swim is fun and exciting, but it’s about more than just splashing around or diving. The YMCA believes that knowing how to swim and doing so safely is a critical life skill. Swim lessons are designed to introduce children of all ages and abilities to swimming and teach them to love and respect water. Below is information about our swim program. Each stage is passed by students, mastering the skills before moving to the subsequent level. Students improve and progress through each stage and see greater safety, confidence, and a lifetime love for swimming as a result.
