For the last 5 years, she has been there for me, fought for me, and has been a light at the end of a long & black tunnel. Yes, I know how cliche that sounds, but it's true. My ex came after me, saying things I never thought were possible from him. She was never flustered, and they could never bully her, which his attorney kept trying to do. It was apparent very early on that Kristi was a far better attorney than he. His attorney tried to bully her because she couldn't do anything else; Kristi stood firm and refused to let it happen. She never stooped to the other attorney's level. She always ensured that my child's best interests were at the forefront throughout our battle. She refused to play dirty and insisted that we remain fair and just the entire time. She was always there when I needed her. She was so committed that she continued working on my case while preparing to leave on a family vacation in just a few hours. There are not enough words to express how grateful I am that she was willing to take my case the day I called her in tears, frantically trying to find an attorney. So I'm the four-star review Kristi is the best for solving custody issues. I get it. But I just wish she showed a little empathy. So two days before mediation after I hired her a year ago I get an email from assistants for documents. Like are you serious? I just feel like she should've done this crap for me to send over. Then when I emailed her back the next day some of the docs she asked for she blamed me for not sending them earlier. Like what docs? And then I found out she sent the email at 3 p.m. just so she could blame me later. It was a set up. Also, why doesn't she say good morning or how are you? I'm so used to Kristi not saying hi that whenever I talk to anyone else, I become confused when she said hi. Then, the last straw was when she called me in the car to go over the sworn financial statement. I told her I was driving and she raised her voice and said that it needs to be completed now. I couldn't talk to her at that moment because I was in a meeting and she still charged me for that phone call. I talked to her later that day and we went over a few line items even though I told her I wasn't ready. She still insisted that we talk and I argued with her for a bit. So, when the call was over, she charged me for 30 minutes when the real conversation was just around 20 minutes.9. I feel like she is a little cold. We can't understand each other due to miscommunication. After several calls, I feel like she is not the right person to solve my problems. I don't like how she works even though I acknowledge that she is a good lawyer. 10. It is such a nightmare to have Kristi as your family attorney. Not only does she come across as so indifferent, but she is also an inaccurate biller. Every time she calls me after waiting for her to pick calls, I make sure to answer and listen to her. However, when I call her, she turns the phone off. She is a poor communicator and lacks empathy towards the customer's needs. My feedback is that Kristi should show some empathy and acknowledge mistakes when they happen. I also advise her to keep time and observe the voice tone to avoid inconveniencing the customer.
