In 2020, Duke Altschuler and Melisse Perre and their team started Duke's Garage to allow vintage and car enthusiasts to own and travel the classic car or vintage vehicle of their choosing. They opened the garage for live music events in 2020, starting with a virtual concert. Duke, a classic car collector and enthusiast for more than a decade, quickly converted some of his vehicles from gasoline to electric using some of Melisse's conversion kits. Duke's Garage's first conversion was a fully restored 1965 Mustang convertible that had been converted to 100% electric in 2009. Other models soon followed until the company expanded its offerings. Duke's Garage first entered the market by selling over 250 electric vehicles in its first year of operation. Customers can visit Duke's Garage in person or participate in the company's biennial virtual car auction, which takes place every other year. Customers from all over the world can visit the garage and enjoy a virtual tour of the shop. Customers can also view the vehicles in the currently available collection. Starting around the third quarter of 2023, Duke's Garage expects to be involved in the release of the Beck E-Speedster, which is based on an electric version of the Porsche 356 but has a longer all-electric range.
