Client Feedback: Cantor Colburn LLP was not worthy of a one-star review. I had a very poor experience with them, spending $10,000 to go on a date. This experience was bad, but I don't recommend it to anyone., very costly. Cantor Colburn: Our non-profit company had an amazing experience with Cantor Colburn. We found them expert, receptive, and easy to work with. Cantor Colburn - Gorgeous office space and I applaud them for making their facility available to organizations for lunch and learns. Kol ha Kavod Great client centric firm Cantor Colburn- Awful Experience. Do Not Use. This firm provides bad service for a high price. We hired CC in 2015 to assist us in obtaining a utility patent for a waterproof phone case. C3 Communications, LLC is a small startup company, and we informed the attorney throughout each phone call and meeting that we have a restricted budget. A CC attorney persuaded us to pay $7,668 for a provisional patent. He said the high upfront cost was worth it since when were ready to file the non-provisional it would be a tiny fee. We asked our attorney how much the non-provisional patent filing would be, but he refused to give an exact amount. After our lawyer made minor adjustments to the provisional patent, he sent us another invoice for $6,826. We believed it was a mistake, but after fighting with the company for several months, they would not reduce the bill. To summarize, over two years later, we paid a total of $14,494 for the utility patent and $5,044 in filing fees; however, the patent failed for prior art on all claims. The last bill should not have been $6,826 greater than the initial one, and our lawyer knew we were a startup with limited funds. We are very dissatisfied customers and are still paying off this bill.
