Connecticut River Academy

CTRA Creates Scholars Awareness. Diversity. Action. These three words shape the Connecticut River Academy at Goodwin University's (CTRA's) core beliefs and values. Our program of studies breaks down invisible barriers of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, gender, and education. When scholars demonstrate self-awareness and global consciousness, respect diversity, and understand the impacts of social and individual actions, they can contribute positively to the creation of a sustainable and just world. The CTRA curriculum is multidisciplinary and designed to produce scholars capable of critically thinking about issues in science, technology, social and interpersonal relations, and global and global concerns. Connecticut River Academy is an environmental science and advanced manufacturing-focused high school connected to the Connecticut River. Our state-of-the-art academy is located at the Goodwin University Campus, which is on the Connecticut River. Our research vessel allows students to explore the river in late spring or early fall. In addition, trollies transport students to and from classes at our Advanced Manufacturing Annex and Goodwin University courses.
