Omar A. Ibrahimi, MD, PhD, FAAD, FACMS, is the founder and medical director of the Connecticut Skin Institute. He is a Board-Certified dermatologist with advanced training from leading medical institutions in the United States. He is a top physician in diagnosing and treating all types of skin cancer, as well as other medical and aesthetic skin issues. Since 2016, he has been recognized with the Castle-Connolly Award for Top Doctors, which acknowledges excellent patient care. Omar Ibrahimi was born and raised in New York City. He attended Stuyvesant High School, New York University for his undergraduate degree, and New York University School of Medicine for his medical degree. He has been an invited speaker at many national conferences on his research involving Mohs Surgery and Laser Procedures. Dr. Ibrahimi has published many scientific articles in the top dermatologic and dermatologic surgical journals on skin cancer surgery and laser procedures. Dr. Ibrahimi has performed thousands of Mohs Surgery cases and cosmetic and laser procedures.
