First United Methodist Nursery School and Kindergarten

Here's some feedback we've received from our customers: My 1st child went to First United Methodist Nursery School. They had a great program that worked perfectly for him! Loved the teacher to student ratio. Each teacher is caring, full of imaginative spirit, and keeps the day running smoothy. My 2nd child is signed up to attend in the coming fall, and I am excited! Wondering where to send your children to preschool? Look no further.. this is it! The teachers, staff, parents and children are all so loving, caring and respectful. I finally feel like I found my people. My son is currently in the pre-k 4’s program and will be attending FUMNS for Kindergarten next year. If I could sign up my youngest child now, I would. Thank you for providing this amazing play based program. Wishing there were words to accurately describe our experience at this school— but there is nothing that comes close. As a parent you look for a place that makes both you and your child feel comfortable, safe, have a sense of community, challenged, accepted and cared for....and we got all of that and more. Wishing I could keep my kids here forever! We could not love FUMNS more! Our child has thrived here, and the teachers and staff are incredibly kind and invested in the kids. It is truly a gem of a program. Every time I go to write this review I end up getting emotional because I am just so beyond grateful to First United. This school is just incredible. We’ve been a part of the community since 2019 including navigating COVID with a preschooler... ...and I can’t even begin to express how much love these teachers have for these students and how much they care. It is so amazing to see your little humans loved and appreciated and respected by everyone they encounter here and I cannot even begin to thank these wonderful people enough. I found First United because I saw their Kindergarten class out at a field day when my son was 1. I remember thinking to myself how nice all the kids seemed and wanted my son to go there too. Now, since attending, I’ve similarly had people comment to me about how nice and collaborative the kids are who attend First United. While I’m sure part of that comes from home and the parenting philosophy many of us share in wanting this kind of preschool environment for our kids, it also is a huge testament to these teachers and what they teach and how they approach problem solving amongst the children. We have kept my son here for Kindergarten this year and within the first week I was beyond grateful. He is learning so much and soaking up everything like a sponge, all through play. It makes me so happy that he gets that extra year of “childhood”. Honestly you can’t go wrong here! I enrolled my child in the prek4s class after many recommendations from fellow moms. The staff and teachers go above and beyond for each child. My child begs to stay for the extended days and enrichments since he has so much fun daily. The extended schedules are so flexible and easy. Win win for us. We absolutely loved First United Methodist Nursery School. My three children attended FUMNS and had an amazing experience and enjoyed going to school each day. The director and teachers at FUMNS are welcoming and patient and always have a smile. It is a safe, friendly and nurturing environment. I loved the play based style of learning and my children learned so much! I cant say enough positive things about our experience at First United. The staff is nurturing, understanding and communicative. They understand the importance of teaching the whole child and not just focusing on mandated curriculum. My daughter loved going to school everyday. Our only wish was that we found it before kindergarten so we could have been a part of the program for longer! My daughter was in the Kindergarten class year and she had a great experience. She was able to enjoy playing with her friends, learn her ABC’s, and learn appropriate social and emotional skills for kindergartens that a more traditional kindergarten sometimes overlooks. She always looked forward to school and all the amazing activities the teachers of FUMNS had planned. I would definitely recommend the program. Wonderful school with amazing and nurturing teachers! Both of my sons were lucky to be in this wonderful program! It’s a great place to be a kid and grow. The teachers and staff are amazing! All three of my children were given the gift of play at a very special place. They were lucky to go to FUMNS & Kindergarten
