Emily Rockwell Skin Clinic

Emily Rockwell is a Nurse Practitioner licensed by the American Board of Nursing with a BS in Nursing from UVA and MS in Nursing from U. Penn. Emily studied nursing to heal people, but it was her own pain that led her to establish a business. At her high school, Emily rocked TMJ and headaches. She found conventional treatments like physical therapy, dental appliances, massage, and corticosteroid injections to be ineffective. Emily decided to read up on TMJ, and her 30-year periodontist and implantologist colleague, Dr. G. William Keller, suggested Botox. In 2015, Emily and her dad completed a unique course on TMJ evaluation and Botox treatment for facial pain, and she immediately experienced a reduction in pain using Botox. She learned how to offer Botox and Fillers to her TMJ patients at an Oculofacial Plastic Surgery clinic while also continuing her TMJ pain management training. Her father encouraged her to create The Montchanin Center for Facial Aesthetics in 2017, which provides cosmetic and therapeutic treatments for people. Emily draws inspiration from Dr. Zein Obagi, a world-famous Cosmetic Dermologist who has been revolutionizing advanced skincare for over 35 years. Obagi´s research focuses solely on the repair and maintenance of skin at the cellular level, not just temporary aesthetic fixes. Emily's training with Dr. Obagi helped her establish the core philosophy of her business, which was rebranded to the Emily Rockwell Skin Clinic: the goal is not to provide temporary fixes but rather to encourage long-term and sustainable skin health. Our approach to skincare is now firmly grounded in this consideration for every patient. This results-driven practice hinges on her direct, ongoing engagement in other plastic surgeons’ and Dr. Obagi’s training.
