since 1954 in pinellas county, this is yancar's used cars. Vincent Yancar Sr., my grandfather, opened the first Yancar's Used Cars in 1954, practically around the corner from where we are now (33756). Vincent Yancar, Jr., my father, ran the business in 1971 for a total of 51 years when he retired in 2022. Greg Yancar proudly took over Yancar's Used Cars in 2022, just like grandma and dad. My life was the automobile sector. I was raised in it. My teenage years were spent working for my father, but eventually, I wanted to expand my horizons and learn more. Over 12 years of expertise in franchise dealerships, starting as a salesman, New Car Manager and Used Car Manager, F&I manager, Sub-Prime, and F&I Manager. I learned so much from my family's dealership. Combining that with my knowledge of large corporate dealerships taught me about financing, buying and selling cars, and customer service. I wanted to apply all of this experience to my own company, just like my grandpa and father. I started my own Yancar and Sons Auto Sales on Seminole Boulevard in August 2009. Largo, Fl. Ironically, my father's dealership is only 4 miles away. I had a profitable dealership over the years by offering car financing. We sold hundreds of cars and met many wonderful people, clients, and friends. We sold our building and decided to move to a different city in the beginning to the home of a previous customer and later to the current location. My dad retired in 2022, but I wasn't going to sit back and watch our 68-year-old family business die. My dad and I developed a plan for me to take over Yancar Used Cars, just like he did with his father. On August 1, 2022, I formally took over my company, Yancar and Sons Auto Sales, and converted it to Yancar's Used Cars. We are excited about the future, and we know that we will make many new friends and clients while selling cars to our current customers.
